Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, said young people starting their own business will benefit thanks to new products recently made available by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

“With more young Australians going into small business, particularly in industries such as construction, transport, information technology and telecommunications, the ATO has made the process even easier to help young people have a go,” Alex Hawke said.

A new Federal Government incentive is now available to help local businesses hire additional staff.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, welcomed the changes, saying they will help local business to hire young people in our community.

New wage subsidies are a key component of the Government’s new jobactive PaTH Program, which will be fully rolled out in April and will help up to 120,000 vulnerable young Australians through pre-employment training, internships and these new wage subsidies.

The Turnbull Government is ensuring multinational tax dodgers pay their fair share of tax, helping to ensure crucial government services can be delivered and are more sustainable.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, has welcomed the news that around $2 billion in tax is expected to be clawed back this financial year under the Turnbull Government’s crackdown on multinational tax avoidance.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke, said ONLINE small businesses in communities throughout Mitchell were given a boost this week as the Turnbull-Joyce Government delivered on a 2016-17 Budget measure to level the playing field with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on items purchased online.

“The Government has this week introduced legislation to level the playing field for Australian businesses which compete with overseas businesses,” Alex Hawke said.
