International study experience for local students
Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, welcomes the announcement of the Australian Government’s Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships for 2016 which will provide study opportunities for Australian and international students.
“I am pleased that two students from my electorate of Mitchell have received an Endeavor Research Fellowship to study at the University of Glasgow and the National Centre for Global Health and Medicine in Scotland and Japan,” Alex Hawke said.
“I congratulate Mark Westman and Cindy Kok for being awarded this prestigious opportunity and wish them all the best in their international study experience.
“The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships programme is a highly prized study experience, promoting knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours.
"These scholarships will support 500 international students to study in Australia as well as providing an opportunity for 198 Australian students to further their skills and knowledge overseas while building their international awareness.
“International students make a welcome contribution to the cultural richness of our education institutions and the wider Australian community.
Applications for the 2017 Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship round open in April 2016.
