New Support for Youth Jobs
A new Federal Government incentive is now available to help local businesses hire additional staff.
Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, welcomed the changes, saying they will help local business to hire young people in our community.
New wage subsidies are a key component of the Government’s new jobactive PaTH Program, which will be fully rolled out in April and will help up to 120,000 vulnerable young Australians through pre-employment training, internships and these new wage subsidies.
“Financial incentives of up to $10,000 are available to encourage businesses to employ new staff. This will help our local economy and in turn, create more jobs”, Alex Hawke said.
“There is no higher priority for our community and for the Government than creating jobs. That means not only growing our economy, but also help people become job ready.”
“I’m delighted to see these incentives are being improved, to support more local employers to hire more workers”, Alex Hawke said.
“Our jobactive PaTH Program is all about getting young people ready, giving them a go and getting them a job.
“I strongly encourage more local business owners to take advantage of this program, including new wage subsidies, to take on extra staff and grow their business, Alex Hawke MP said.”
