Stronger Communities Programme: Mitchell Consultation Committee - Call for Expression of Interest

The Federal Member for Mitchell, Alex Hawke MP, is calling on community leaders to submit an expression of interest to join the Mitchell Consultation Committee under the Stronger Communities Programme.

The Stronger Communities Programme, announced in this year’s Budget, will deliver $150,000 per year for two year to fund capital projects which deliver social benefits.

“This is an exciting opportunity for local residents to work with me to identify potential projects which will contribute to our community’s long term vibrancy and viability, said Alex Hawke.

“The Mitchell Community Consultation Committee will work to identify projects which are a priority and to ensure this funding delivers the best possible outcomes for our community.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the Stronger Communities Programme guidelines and the Frequently Asked Questions which are available on the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development’s website http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/SCP.
