Repealing the Carbon Tax – Call for public comment

The Hon Tony
Abbott made a clear election commitment that the Government’s first item of
parliamentary business would be to repeal the carbon tax.  Our Prime
Minister has today announced from 1 July 2014, the carbon tax will be
abolished.  This will lower costs for Mitchell
businesses and ease cost of living pressures for households.

The exposure drafts
of the carbon tax repeal bills are now available online
for public consideration and the Government invites submissions.  Final
date for submissions is 5pm, Monday, 4 November 2013.
