2012-13 Your Community Heritage funding round is Now Open

Alex Hawke MP, Federal Member for Mitchell, advises the local community that the 2012-13 Your Community Heritage funding round is now open for applications.

“I am delighted to announce that the 2012-13 Your Community Heritage funding round is now open for applications. These grants are especially important due to the depth of our local heritage and history,” Alex Hawke said.

Grants up to $500,000 are available to help community groups to conserve and protect Australia’s nationally significant historic sites, undertake natural disaster recovery and mitigation activities relating to historic heritage places, honour eminent Australians who have made a significant contribution to our nation, assist communities tell their heritage stories and enhance community engagement in heritage through celebrations and events.

“I encourage all community organisations that are eligible to consider submitting an application for funding under the Your Community Heritage program. Applications close at 5pm Thursday 21 March 2013.
