2024-25 Strong and Resilient Communities Activity - Community Support grants program

The 2024-25 Strong and Resilient Communities Activity - Community Support grants program is now open and closes at 4:00pm on Friday, 4 October 2024

Local community groups in Mitchell can submit an Expression of Interest to apply for a small grant ($10,000 - $20,000) for one-off, time limited projects that support vulnerable and disadvantaged people by strengthening the organisation’s volunteer capability and capacity. 

The objective of this grant is to build volunteer management capability within organisations to uplift volunteer capability, including volunteer knowledge, skills and volunteer numbers; and support alignment with the strategic objectives of the National Strategy for Volunteering and National Standards for Volunteer Involvement in organisations that support: 

  • young people 12 to 18 years who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging;     
  • people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions;     
  • women who experience, or are at risk of experiencing isolation or discrimination; and/or     
  • people who are unemployed.   

 

These grants are targeted at grassroots volunteer involving organisations, that have:  

  • a workforce of 40% or more volunteers;   
  • an annual income of below $500,000; and  
  • support one or more of the identified priority groups mentioned above.   

Expressions of Interest are now open and will close 4:00PM AEST, 4 October 2024. Click here to submit an Expression of Interest.  Following a review process, eligible organisations in NSW will be contacted and invited to submit an application through The Centre for Volunteering.
