Local recognised in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours List
Congratulations to the residents in the Hills district who received awards as part of the King’s Birthday 2024 Honours List.
Being awarded a Member (AM) in the General Division
- Ms Anne Stanfield of Northmead for significant service to community social welfare organisations.
Being awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division
- Mrs Kerrye Katz of Northmead for service to judo, as a coach and athlete.
- Ms Carolyn Kitto of Castle Hill for service to the community through social justice initiatives.
- Sister Janet Woods of Castle Hill for service to secondary education, and to the Catholic Church in Australia.
- Dr Francis Doughty for service to veterinary science, and to the community including the Castle Hill and Hills District Agricultural Society Inc
Being awarded a Meritorious Award
- Mrs Suzanne Talbert of Gables with an Australian Fire Service Medal for exemplary and distinguished service to the NSW Rural Fire Service.
These awards are well deserved and a wonderful recognition and thank you for incredible service to our community.
