Locals honoured on Australia Day
Mitchell residents have been recognised and honoured in the Hills district recently and it is a privilege to be able to showcase these people for all they have accomplished in their chosen field.
I want to draw attention to some remarkable people who were recognised in the 2024 Australia Day Honours list.
Congratulations to:
Ellie Cole AM for significant service to sport as an advocate for diversity and inclusion
John Ebbott OAM for significant service to the community through a range of organisations, including Lions Club of Crestwood, Apex Club of Baulkham Hills and NSW Rural Fire Service.
Brett Murray OAM for service to children.
Lilian Ries OAM for service to community health.
Anyone can nominate someone to be recognised for an Order of Australia. The Mitchell electorate has a wonderful volunteer workforce in our community and there are many who deserve to be recognised for their outstanding contribution. For further information please click here.
