PM announcement of the National Bushfire Recovery Fund

With more lives, homes and economic livelihoods at risk in communities like Eden, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced the establishment of a $2 Billion National Bushfire Recovery Fund to assist those affected by the fires.

$2 billion over the next two calendar years. Starting now.

“What I envisage is guaranteeing to the Australian people at this time of crisis that we will meet every cost that needs to be met, make every investment to assist this crisis and the recovery needs that follow,” he said. “That is clearly the priority now.”
