Prime Minister's visit to Castle Hill and launch of the COVID-19 vaccination

The COVID-19 vaccination program was officially launched yesterday, ahead of the formal national rollout across Australia commencing today.

At Castle Hill, our community hosted the historic first vaccinations. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said it was a landmark day in Australia’s comeback from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Local aged care residents, disability residents and carers, Australian Defence Force personnel, Australian Border Force personnel, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer and the Prime Minister led the way, by example, in receiving Australia’s first vaccinations.

Our message is simple - the vaccines are safe and effective. The national roll-out is ready, starting today. Get vaccinated and help Australia out of this pandemic!
