Vale Faraz Tahir
Today we laid to rest a national hero, Faraz Tahir.
Faraz made the ultimate sacrifice of his life, protecting others, during the recent Bondi attack. Tragically on the first day working at his job.
Together as a Western Sydney community we paid tribute to his life and great courage, his sacrifice for others and commiserated with his family and community.
It was an immense privilege to deliver a message of gratitude for Faraz and also meet his close friend, fellow security guard Mohammud Taha
who was badly wounded by the attacker. In spite of being badly wounded, he left hospital for the first time to be at the funeral of his mate Faraz.
The Ahmadiyya Community of Sydney is such a beautiful community and a deeply valued part of Australia. We pray for Faraz and his family and Mohammud and his recovery.
Thank you both for your great bravery and sacrifice.
