Youth Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

Youth Mental Health and suicide prevention are critical issues in our community. With the increase of social media and online bullying together with the impact from COVID-19, the rise of mental health issues in young people is concerning.

I recently had the opportunity to host the second youth mental health forum in the Mitchell electorate. This roundtable discussion with key community leaders, focused on the PBS Psychology sessions that have been cut by Labor from 20 to 10 and the impact of vaping on our young people.

I would like to thank the key agencies within my electorate who work tirelessly to support young people, to examine what more needs to be done to address these issues.
