Grant round now open to support vulnerable people in Mitchell connect with the community

The Stronger and Resilient Communities competitive grant opportunity is now open to organisations that are supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people to participate socially and economically in their community.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, said the grants would break down barriers to participation in community activities, reduce social isolation and help people develop skills to live independently.

“The Morrison Government is committed to providing Australians with the skills and confidence to turn their social and employment goals into reality,” Alex Hawke said.

“This grant opportunity would strengthen local support services and help disengaged youth, unemployed people, people with a disability or women experiencing or at risk of violence create fulfilling lives.

“We know that local community-driven solutions are critical to making lasting change and I encourage the wonderful organisations in Mitchell to apply,” Alex Hawke said.

The Stronger and Resilient Communities open competitive grant opportunity closes on 15 November 2021.
