149 heightened criminals roam free due to Labor’s inaction
Following the High Court’s decision to release 149 non-citizens into the community, Labor has failed to act to ensure our communities are not under threat.
It is disturbing that investigations have revealed that the Albanese-Labor government made zero applications to keep the 149 non-citizen criminals in preventative detention under the Labor Government’s newly rushed detention legislation.
Of these hardline detainees, Australians must contend with 7 murderers, 37 sexual offenders and 72 violent offenders roaming their streets without constant surveillance. Not surprisingly, 24 of these criminals have reoffended since their release.
Despite the continued risks of reoffending, the PM insists that this Labor Government has made sure that ‘this is got right’. With over $13 million squandered in handouts, accommodation and management of these criminals, it is safe to say Australians have had enough.
It is a complete disregard for the Australian way of life, our communities and the safety of everyday Australians. How can we expect anything from a Labor government that permits genuine threats to national security on our doorstep?
