The leaders of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America have announced the creation of an enhanced trilateral security partnership “AUKUS”.
This partnership will enable us to work together to support our security and defence interests to deliver a safer and more secure region. AUKUS will enhance our contribution to the network of partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region and will help deliver the security and stability our region needs.
Residents of the Mitchell electorate received a major road safety boost with the Australian Government announcing $700,000 funding under the 2021–22 Black Spot Program.
The safety of our local community has received a boost with the passage of legislation that gives Australian law enforcement agencies new capabilities to identify and disrupt serious criminal activity occurring online.
“This is an important step forward in the fight against serious crimes like child exploitation, drug trafficking, and illegal firearms,” Alex Hawke MP, Federal Member for Mitchell said.
