The Morrison and Berejiklian Governments continue to work together to support businesses in New South Wales during the current COVID-19 lockdown.
With Greater Sydney set to remain in lockdown until at least 28 August 2021, both governments have agreed to expand the COVID-19 Business Support Payment.
Under the expanded payment, eligible entities, including not-for-profits, will now receive payments of between $1,500 and $100,000 per week based on the level of their payroll, with the maximum turnover threshold increased from $50 million to $250 million.
The Morrison Government is providing up to $10 million for security infrastructure through round six of the Safer Communities Fund.
The security infrastructure grant opportunity is now open and closes on 19 August 2021.
Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, said this funding will help ensure people in our local community feel safe as they go about their daily lives.
The Morrison Government is providing up to $20 million in funding for early intervention projects and up to $10 million for security infrastructure through round six of the Safer Communities Fund.
The early intervention grant opportunity opens 28 May 2021 (closing 5 August 2021) and the security infrastructure grant opportunity opens on 15 June 2021 (closing 19 August 2021).
The Morrison Government’s plan to secure Australia’s recovery will rebuild our economy and create more jobs to ensure we come back stronger from the COVID-19 induced recession, including in Mitchell.
