Students and staff at Hills Adventist College in Kellyville today celebrated the opening of their Senior School Block that was built with the help of $650 000 in Australian Government funding. (Pictured: Alex Hawke MP with Hills Adventist College Principal, Ralph Luchow).

Mr Alex Hawke MP, Member for Mitchell, opened the new facilities on behalf of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education, Senator the Hon Scott Ryan.

Federal Member for Mitchell, Alex Hawke MP, today announced that OCTEC Incorporated and Max Network have been selected to deliver the new Work for the Dole Coordinator services in the Nepean Employment Service Area including Box Hill, Rouse Hill and Kellyville.

“From 1 July 2014, the Government has rolled out new Work for the Dole arrangements for job seekers aged 18-30 in the Nepean Employment Service Area, Alex Hawke said.

“OCTEC Incorporated and MAX Network have been selected as the organisations to help grow Work for the Dole activities in our local area.

Federal Member for Mitchell, Alex Hawke MP, announced the Federal Attorney-General confirmed that a 19 year old Bella Vista man has been charged with one count of improper use or possession of an Australian travel document on Saturday, 9 August 2014.

“As the matter is currently before the court no further comment can be made in regard to this specific matter.

”Incidents such as these underline the need for urgent measures to better identify and prevent people leaving Australia on false travel documents, said Alex Hawke.

The Productivity Commission is now undertaking public consultation following last month’s release of its draft report into Child Care and Early Childhood Learning.

“The interim report, ‘A New System for Better Employment and Social Outcomes’, proposes changes to our nation’s welfare system to help ensure it is sustainable, simple, equitable and effective,” Alex Hawke said.
